3. Social media
There we constantly see beautiful things and tempting offers and gradually start to believe that these are the things we lack for happiness. We start comparing ourselves with those who have them and make reckless purchases. At the same time we forget that not everything we see reflects real life, and envy and comparing ourselves with others only harms us.
So don’t let social media dictate where you spend your money.
Check the accounts you are subscribed to and remember which ones most often make you feel dissatisfied with yourself or want to buy something. It might be worth unsubscribing from them.
Think about what you’re interested in and how you can grow in it. Set yourself realistic goals and strive for them. This will help you be more satisfied with yourself and your life.
Once you’ve sorted out the above factors, start incorporating new approaches into your life. For example:
Formulate your goals and think about exactly how money will help you achieve them.
Identify areas of spending that you can cut back on.
Automate your savings and start saving little by little to build a financial safety cushion or pay off a large debt.
Improve your financial literacy by reading more or listening to podcasts about personal finance.
